The Whole Picture

Life is lived in moments
And each moment is a piece of a puzzle
And a puzzle is much easier to put together, when you can see the whole picture.
It’s easy to go through life jumping from one moment to another
But the problem lies when you’re using different pieces
And still expecting a full picture to emerge.
In the same way, so too can your moments become disjointed and completely misaligned
Isolating each one from the next, forming nothing and leading you nowhere.
A series of unrelated and random events, that just don't fit.
It’s important then to understand what you’re trying to do
And what picture you’re trying to paint
To make sure that every moment counts
That each moment plays it’s part
And every piece rests in its rightful place
The alternative might be fun for a short time,
But long term
It will totally chew you up and leave you standing in the void.
