The Law Of The Jungle
Man was not made to live in the jungle, if he were, then we’d still be living there.
And although the natural world is very much ingrained in who we are, it’s our unique humanity that ultimately sets us apart from the rest.
But instead of embracing our humanity, we return ourselves to the wild,
We’ve turned our cities into concrete jungles
And ourselves into beasts
Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is the natural order of things, it’s not
Nature calls you to higher standard
Humans are the epitome of nature, but tamed.
The embodiment of Yin and Yang,
Balanced and working in perfect harmony with the whole of creation
Everything in its rightful place, at its rightful time, for its rightful purpose.
Because nature, our nature, is not only biological
It’s also moral and it’s spiritual.
It’s not based on irrational emotion
But on our ability to transcend how we feel to do the right thing; to choose how to respond at any given moment.
And it’s based on reason, grounded in humility and in Love.
But it doesn’t sit idly by, it calls on you to do better and be better.
The friction is created when we work against this, as individuals and as a society.
So let's not go surrendering our humanity, subjecting ourselves to the laws of the jungle.
Be sure to also call yourself to a higher standard,
Judge yourself before even considering casting your judgement onto others
Be the example to emulate, not just the preacher on the corner.
This is the way of humility and nature is indeed humble.
An eye for an eye does make the whole world blind, fact.
So we shouldn’t be blinding people,
We should instead be helping clear the way, so they too can see.
