Road Less Travelled

“Two roads diverged in the woods, and I – I took the road less travelled by; And that has made all the difference...” exclaims Robert Frost.
You see life is not about pursuing the path of least resistance
Life is about enduring and finding those things (and people) worth suffering for.
Worth sacrificing something for.
Worth giving part of yourself to.
So the key then is not comfort, but resilience.
It’s not safety, it’s courage in the face of adversity.
It’s not in laying down, it’s in standing for something and pursuing it with everything you’ve got.
Because it’s in the pursuit of those things
Those things that matter
Those things of inherent and infinite value; that provides your life with meaning
It’s those things that make your life worth living.
If you’re looking for easy, then you’re missing the point
There’s no growth in easy
There’s no opportunity to develop your character or strength of will in easy
There’s no real purpose grounded in easy.
You can always accept things as they are, and be grateful
There’s certainly no shame in that
But then again you should never rest on your laurels, because there’s a contribution to be made
Don’t shirk your responsibilities looking for the easy way out
The world needs you as much as you need it and no one said it was meant to be easy.
And as small as it may seem, what you do today, sends echoes through eternity.
So don’t do things because they are easy, do things because they are the right things to do.
Because they are noble, just and virtuous
So here we are, two roads have again diverged in the woods, which road will you take?
