You can’t fill a cup if it’s already full
You can’t furnish a room if it’s already furnished
You can’t paint a master piece without a blank canvas

You can’t be elsewhere, if you have fixed plans
Nor can you start a new venture, if you already committed.

There’s no more room, if you’re holding on and can’t let go
If you’re clinging to what is and oblivious to what could be.

Space means potential,
It’s only in the emptying, that you can be full
And only in giving that you can receive.

If you’re wanting something to change,
You’re going to pull the trigger and make some space
Don’t wait for it to be given to you, claim it.

Because if you don’t, there’s won’t be potential for anything else
And that’s a sure way of getting more of the same.

Don’t look back in anger, maintain the hope And be determined to do things a little different.

  • Communication is not a one way street
Communication is not a one way street. It’s not about talking, it’s about listening. It’s not about reacting, it’s about responding. It’s not about knowing, It’s about understanding. It’s not about judgement or pretense It’s about connection.
  • Leaving it all behind
Some things are certainly worth holding onto -  Others we just hold onto because we are too afraid to say goodbye.  Not because we can’t But because doing so means facing our own mortality
  • Ahead of the game
It’s easy to play life on the back foot Always playing defence. Always waiting, always passive, always reactive.
