You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.

Too often we leave things to chance
We see only what we want to see
Blinded by our own ignorance.

We continue to blame circumstance
We blame everything and everyone else,
But rarely do we blame ourselves.

We call it bad luck or God’s will.
And perhaps sometimes that’s true
But perhaps other times, it’s solely on us.
In failing to learn the lessons

In breaking the rules that were designed to protect us
And turning away those sent to embrace us.

Because with every step, you choose the direction.
Whether to walk towards;
or to walk away.

So perhaps it’s best to wise up
Open your eyes
And start getting your shit together.

Because if you don’t hold your self to account
You can be absolutely guaranteed,
That sooner or later
Life surely will.

Don’t look back in anger, maintain the hope And be determined to do things a little different.

  • Communication is not a one way street
Communication is not a one way street. It’s not about talking, it’s about listening. It’s not about reacting, it’s about responding. It’s not about knowing, It’s about understanding. It’s not about judgement or pretense It’s about connection.
  • Leaving it all behind
Some things are certainly worth holding onto -  Others we just hold onto because we are too afraid to say goodbye.  Not because we can’t But because doing so means facing our own mortality
  • Ahead of the game
It’s easy to play life on the back foot Always playing defence. Always waiting, always passive, always reactive.
