A Matter Of Commitment

So many wander the earth searching for purpose.

Because a purpose driven life is a meaningful life – and meaning is what ultimately makes life worth living.

It’s the reason you wake up in the morning and do what you do.

But so often we forget the ‘why’.

We get so fixated on the ‘what’ and ‘how’ and allow the ‘why’ to simply fall by the wayside.

We passively fall into habits and become disconnected and disenfranchised.

Not longer experiencing the fruits of our labour –

No longer experiencing 'what we do' as a subset of something bigger.

But if you’re at a loss about where you can begin to re-establish purpose, don’t be.

Because purpose is simply a matter of commitment

And during the course of the day, it’s a set of micro-commitments you make to yourself.

Waking up on time, brushing your teeth, making your bed, going for a walk, reading.

Because holding yourself accountable and up to a standard, is purposeful enough.

Doing the things you know you should be doing because they are the right things to do.

Why?

Because they are good for you or serve a greater good
