A Little Effort

We want things to change, but we don’t want to do the work.

A little effort never goes astray

It’s a measure of how much you want something

If there’s no effort

It’s simply not that important to you

Even if you’ve convinced yourself that it is.

We prioritise our time,

Our words,

Our money

And our attention in every moment

In everything that we do

Whether we realise it or not.

What you do, is a much greater reflection of what and who you value

And don’t value

And says much more than anything you could ever utter out loud.

So watch slowly for your patterns of behaviour

They will tell you who you are or what you’ve allowed yourself to become

And if you don’t like what you see

Then don’t waste your time talking about it

And beating yourself up

Change how you behave

How you treat people, how you act, what do you.

How you spend your time, your money

And direct your attention.

And that requires a little more presence

And a little more effort. A real willingness to do the work.

At least at the beginning -

Until what you think, what you say and what you do is aligned again.
