Taking The Lead
Updated: Jan 3
The world is full of lonely people afraid to make the first move.
Well, either afraid, or just way too complacent.
Reality is, if you ever want for something, no one is going to do it for you.
Newtown’s Third Law of Motion:
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”
Simply put, in real human terms, you get out what you put in.
Newtown’s First Law of Motion:
“An object will remain at rest unless acted upon by an external force”
Here’s the thing, you are that external force and your dreams just don’t work unless you do.
Your life won’t change, unless you do, or you do something about it.
You can wait to be lead, or you can choose lead.
You can make the first move, or wait for others to make it for you –
But I will tell you this, if you’re waiting for your prince or princess charming to come and rescue you, I can almost guarantee – they ain’t coming.
No one person is going to save you.
They may open some doors, but you must enter by yourself.
So it’s on you.
I know it’s not easy, but who told you life was ever meant to be easy.
And what you may not realise, is fear, is actually one of life's greatest motivators.
Reality is, if it’s important enough and there's enough on the line, you’ll make it happen.
For when there’s the will, there’s always a way
It’s just how life goes.
So you can take charge, or relinquish it
You can be active, or you can be passive
You can be a victim, or you can take responsibility
You can participate, or you can sit on the sidelines and watch, commentating your life away.
The key is understanding that the choice is ultimately yours and yours alone and so is the responsibility.
And in the absence of choice, in the absence of your own initiative, change comes to you in forms not of your own choosing.
Because change is one of the things in life that's inevitable, you can't escape it, no matter how hard you try.
So in the end, it's really all on you.
But don't be fooled into believing that making a decision is where is ends, that's actually where it all begins - because it’s not so much what you decide that matters, but what you ultimately do about it
Because it’s your actions that reflect the truth about you, not your words.
